FAQ

Do you offer custom work?

Absolutely! I would be thrilled to work with you in creating a one-of-a-kind piece. Just fill out the Special Requests form below to contact me and we can start the design process. Once we settle on the dimensions and main idea for your piece I can provide you with a quote.

How long are your processing times?

Processing time depends on the nature of your order. For all ready-to-ship pieces, please allow 2-3 days for processing and an addition 3-5 days for shipping, client covers all shipping costs. Tracking numbers will be shared with you as soon as your item(s) ships.

For custom wall hangings, the time frame depends on the size of the piece, materials I have on hand, and how demanding my work load is at the time. Please contact me about your project for an estimated lead time.

What does the commission process look like?

1. INSPIRATION: Begin the conversation by messaging me through the Special Request form below. It usually helps to have one or two pieces of mine you already like so we have a place to start. Share with me what you admire about the pieces or what you might want to adjust in your own piece (dimensions and colors). I am happy to provide suggestions if you want to send pictures of the space. An important part of the design process is for you to answer this question: what feelings you would like to evoke while looking at your weaving? *choose three words*

2. QUOTE: Once we discuss exact dimensions and overall design (color palette and yarn choices) I can provide a quote and timeline for the project.

3. PAYMENT: Once the quote is approved, an invoice will be sent via email so payment can be taken by card. Full payment is expected up front before I begin working on your piece.

4. PROCESS:  This is where I engage with my creative flow: I meditate upon your three words, imagine your color palette, and begin weaving. Throughout the entire creative process, pictures and updates will be sent regularly so you can witness the weaving come to life. Very minimal adjustments can be made once the piece has begun.

What kind of materials do you use?

The majority of the materials I use are 100% natural, both in plant and animal fibers. Occasionally I will select an artificial fiber if that particular accent is only available in manufactured products or if I have an opportunity to up-cycle nice yarn.

How do I take care of my handwoven fiber art?

After receiving your fiber artwork please unpack as soon as possible. Carefully unwrap and hang/mount the artwork. During transport, the piece can sometimes become wrinkled or disheveled, so you may need to run your fingers through the fringe to help it hang correctly.

To clean your wall hanging, only lightly dust the top of the dowel as needed. Do not use a damp cloth or steam cleaner to clean the art, as you risk damaging the fibers or having dye run out.

Please be sure to follow these instructions to ensure a long lifespan for your precious wall hanging.

Do you offer wholesale or designer discounts?

I don't require a purchase minimum or sell wholesale but do offer a designer discount of 5% off all fiber art in my shop and custom work. Interior designers, architects, retail stores and other design professionals may qualify for the discount. Contact me for details.

Knowing the difficulty for professionals to find original, handmade art, I aim to keep the process of working together smooth and simple. I look forward to partnering in creating unique pieces of art designed especially for your beautifully curated spaces.

What makes your work unique?

While weaving is an ancient practice, I tap into creative energy to push the limits of the art form in creating highly textural, three-dimensional work that’s unlike anything else. Each piece is one-of-a-kind; even previous designs that I replicate for clients retain a large amount of uniqueness due to the free-hand nature of my creative process. Everything is handmade by myself, and great attention to detail is given to each wall hanging.
