Terms & Policies
Returns
Due to the handmade and artisan nature of my work, I do not accept returns or exchanges. All sales are final.
Shipping
Each work of art is shipped via UPS and is packed with the utmost care and attention. Please be aware that I am not responsible for any potential damage in transit, and options to insure the piece are recommended.
Care Instructions
Please handle with care. My work is designed to be a decorative wall hanging only, not to be used as rugs or regularly handled.
After receiving your fiber artwork please unpack as soon as possible. Carefully unwrap and hang/mount the artwork. During transport, the piece can sometimes become wrinkled or disheveled, so you may need to run your fingers through the fringe to help it hang correctly.
Avoid moisture except to gently steam the fringe if necessary shortly after installation. Use clean hands to comb through fringe or straighten strings at the top, careful to avoid snagging fibers.
No maintenance cleaning is necessary besides gently dusting with a feather dusty as needed. Do not use a damp cloth or steam cleaner to clean the art, as you risk damaging the fibers or having dye run out.
I do not assume responsibility to repair or replace damaged works of art due to misuse or lack of care. Please allow for slight imperfections and recognize that these irregularities add to the quality of the work, representing the handmade effort that goes into each piece.
Please be sure to follow these instructions to ensure a long lifespan for your precious wall hanging.
Colors and Imagery
While color representation is made as accurate as possible, please note that hues may vary from monitor to monitor. If you are commissioning a custom piece, samples of the materials can be sent free of charge for you to handle and compare in person.
Reselling
If you are reselling my art, I ask that your displayed price not be more than 10% lower than my retail price. This helps me maintain the value of my work and respects what other clients have paid for their pieces.
What does the commission process look like?
1. INSPIRATION: Begin the conversation by messaging me through the Special Request form below. It usually helps to have one or two pieces of mine you already like so we have a place to start. Share with me what you admire about the pieces or what you might want to adjust in your own piece (dimensions and colors). I am happy to provide suggestions if you want to send pictures of the space. An important part of the design process is for you to answer this question: what feelings you would like to evoke while looking at your weaving? *choose three words*
2. QUOTE: Once we discuss exact dimensions and overall design (color palette and yarn choices) I can provide a quote and timeline for the project.
3. PAYMENT: Once the quote is approved, an invoice will be sent via email so payment can be taken by card. Full payment is expected up front before I begin working on your piece.
4. PROCESS: This is where I engage with my creative flow: I meditate upon your three words, imagine your color palette, and begin weaving. Throughout the entire creative process, pictures and updates will be sent regularly so you can witness the weaving come to life. Very minimal adjustments can be made once the piece has begun.
Processing times
Processing time depends on the nature of your order. For all ready-to-ship pieces, please allow 2-3 days for processing and an addition 3-5 days for shipping, client covers all shipping costs. Tracking numbers will be shared with you as soon as your item(s) ships.
For custom wall hangings, the time frame depends on the size of the piece, materials I have on hand, and how demanding my work load is at the time. Please contact me about your project for an estimated lead time.
Force Majeure
In the case of failure to perform our agreement due to any force majeure, neither party shall be liable for such failure, and our agreement shall be terminated.
