What is a sound therapy immersion bath and how can it benefit me?
A sound bath is named such because the participants “bathe” in the sound waves that are
produced by the sound therapy instruments. Quartz crystal singing bowls, Shamanic drum,
ocean drum, rattles, chimes, rain stick, Tibetan tingshas, and more tools, move you into the
immersive experience. These instruments, while played in flow, create a transcendent space.
During the Sound Therapy Immersion bath on the full moon, the participants will lay or sit
comfortably while the facilitator plays away. The varied sounds, tones, and vibrations are meant
to shift brain waves from alert (beta waves) to more relaxed waves (alpha and theta), bringing
you into a parasympathetic state which allows the body and mind to rest. This can result in
lowered blood pressure and decreased heart rate which instate a deep sense of calm in the
body. You will be encouraged to just let go and journey into the moving soundscape.
Studies have shown that a sound immersion bath can benefit you in some of the following
ways:
● Synchronization of brain waves
● Ease anxiety, depression, and mood disorders
● Relief from addictive behavior
● Aid in releasing stuck emotions and energy
● Enhance a sense of well-being and fostering inner peace
● Reduce stress
● Sharpen focus and mental clarity
● Improve sleep
● Reset and recalibrate the Chakras (body's energy system)
● Encourage whole being cohesiveness
● Enliven creativity
● Compliment meditation practice
